Research Associate, Smart Prosperity Institute

Scott McFatridge is a Research Associate at Smart Prosperity Institute (SPI) with a keen interest in biodiversity, natural capital and ecosystem services and their links to Canada’s land-use and natural resource sectors. Recent work includes an assessment of the role of economic instruments in protecting and recovering species at risk, and the economic and environmental benefits of circular economy policies in Ontario.

Before joining Smart Prosperity Institute, Scott worked as a consultant for the World Agroforestry Centre in Nairobi, Kenya, and as a Research Associate for the International Institute for Sustainable Development. He has a Master’s in Public Administration from the School of Policy studies at Queens University.
